Express Yourself Enrichment Day!

Following Children's Mental Health Week 2021, we are encouraging our learners to take part in a range of activities as part of our Enrichment Week and Fitness February!

Express Yourself Day!

This year, Children's Mental Health Week had the theme of 'Express Yourself'. On Friday 12 February we are inviting staff and students to take part in our 'Express Yourself' Enrichment Day, following on from Children's Mental Health Week. The day gives students the opportunity to continue learning remotely yet having less time working on screens and partake in activities, to help promote a healthy active lifestyle, as well as, a healthy body and mind. Students have received a menu of activities that they can complete throughout the day. Those students who are currently working in school, will also have the opportunity to complete a range of activities set by staff on duty.

100km Walk in Memory of Captain Sir Tom Moore!

Holderness Academy & Sixth Form College students have been inspired by Captain Sir Tom Moore therefore, we are raising money for The Royal British Legion in his memory. On Friday 12 February, students who are currently working in school will be taking part in a 100km walk as part of our Express Yourself Enrichment Day.

Fitness February!

Throughout February we want to encourage our learners to improve or maintain their lifestyles by being more active. Students have been provided with a fitness diary along with a menu of activities that promote physical and mental well-being. Mr Tupai has been motivating students in his PE lessons to take part in our 'Step Up Challenge' where students have been challenged to virtually visit buildings all around the world by completing as many steps as possible to reach the top of each building! So far, Year 7 have been to New York and climbed the Statue of Liberty!
