Year 6 Open Evening - 6 Oct 2021

Welcome to Holderness Academy!

We are delighted to return to holding our Year 6 Open Evening on our Academy site. This event will take place from 17:00 - 19: 00. To allow for us to keep social distancing to an optimum we will be hosting three sessions - these will take place at 17:00, 17:30 and 18:15.  Booking is not required.

Please see below the safety precautions we have put into place to support the smooth running of this event. Parking will be available in our bus park.

We look forward to meeting our prospective Holderness Learners and their parents and sharing with them our sprawling rural site, our ‘up-to-the-minute’ facilities and the wealth of opportunities that we provide throughout the seven-year journey our Holderness Learners take.

During the evening you will be able to:

  • Learn about our core Holderness Learner values: Aspirational, Resilient, Respectful and Kind.

  • Pick up your goodie bag and try some school dinner samples to see what takes your fancy.

  • Explore our library and take part in competitions to win a range of prizes.

  • Join us to learn more about the Holderness Learner Journey.

  • Visit our faculties and try out some of our facilities and lessons. Try out our gym facilities, perform a flame test and see how well you perform in the interactive maths’ challenges.

  • Plant a daffodil in our beautiful quad, as a member of Class of 2027, and see them flourish each year as they are enjoyed by ourselves and our visiting Holderness Academy ducks!

  • Meet some of the teams we work with including: The Tiger Trust, MIND, Hull FC -  and look out for our special alumni guests!

We will be following this event with an FAQ page on our website and a Virtual drop-in should you be unable to attend.

We look forward to meeting you and offering you a most warm welcome!

Please follow us on: @HoldernessAcad to keep up to date on our news and events.
