Friday 17 June - Warm weather - supportive measures

Tomorrow the forecast predicts temperatures will reach 30 degrees Celsius. Consequently, we are implementing the following adjustments and gestures in order to allow all members of our school community to feel comfortable and protected during this unprecedented warm weather:

  • All students will receive a complimentary drink at break time.

  • Blazers and ties will be optional for the day however, all other uniform expectations remain the same

  • The lunch period will be extended by 5 minutes to ensure students have time to fill their refillable water bottles

  • Extra water stations will be available for students to refill their bottles. The school will not supply cups, so please ensure your child has a reusable water bottle with them.

In addition, we advise that students wear sun hats and sunscreen when outside during the lunchtime period.

We will return to our normal routines from Monday 20 June, as the temperature is predicted to be more comfortable (at around 20 degrees Celsius).
