Congratulations to the year nine boys’ football team who have qualified for the East Riding seven-a-side finals after Christmas. The boys were unbeaten in four out of their five matches, and their qualification caps off a fantastic 2023 with an East Riding semi-final to look forward to as well. #TeamHolderness

Another fantastic evening of year seven girls’ football as some of the girls who come football training every week got their deserved chance to make their Holderness Academy debuts. The girls played in a triangular tournament against Kelvin Hall and South Hunsley. #TeamHolderness

It was a fantastic end to the week as our year seven boys and girls’ five-a-side teams competed in the East Riding Championships. The boys narrowly missed out on qualifying for the semi-finals, winning three matches and drawing two, while the girls won two and drew one of their matches. Before the event, all the players and officials gathered for a minute’s applause to pay tribute to the late Matt Simpson. In years gone by this event was one of the many amazing opportunities organised by Matt for young football players. The applause acknowledged Matt’s dedication and passion.
