A Level Results 2020

Despite the challenges faced by our students in recent times, we are extremely proud of their resilience and positive approach to supporting each other and celebrating their success throughout their school life culminating in today’s achievement day.

Our students have approached this period of learning with maturity and positivity with a view to their next steps. Our staff have worked hard with school leaders to offer reassurance to individual students as well as ensuring that the processes for centre awarded grades have been implemented with rigour, ensuring that all students receive the grades they deserve.

Our ethos of ethical leadership has been at the forefront of this opportunity within our profession to support the assessment of learners based on a broader assessment of their skills and ability rather than simply their examination performance.

We are very proud of the achievements of all students and there have been some fantastic individual performances:

  • Elizabeth Meburn - A*A*A*A*  in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. She has confirmed a place to study Chemistry at York University.

  • Natalie Jordan - A*AA in Chemistry, Biology and Maths.  Studying Medicine at Newcastle University. 

  • Evie Lees - AAA in Maths, Further Maths and Law. She has confirmed a place at Hull University to study a degree in Law.

  • Jacob Harding - A*AA in Maths, Chemistry and Further Maths. Confirmed a place at Durham University to read Maths.

  • Natasha Tucker - AB Distinction in Health and Social Care, Maths and Law. Natasha has accepted an apprenticeship with Smailes Goldie Accountants.

  • Jack Maxey - BBC  and is moving to Keiser University, Florida. USA golf scholarship programme.
  • Ellie Moulds -  BBB with a place to study Midwifery.
