A Level Extended Project Qualification (studied as an enrichment course)
The EPQ has proved to be popular with students and teachers alike. It provides an opportunity for students to extend their skills in independent research and project management beyond the A level syllabus, stand out and prepare for university or their future career. It can also be used to earn extra UCAS points as it is worth half an A level.
The qualification allows students to carry out research on a topic that they have chosen and is not covered by their qualifications. They then use this research to produce a written report and, in the case of practical projects, an artefact or a production. A student can take inspiration from something studied in class or something completely different and new.
