Year 10	To develop confidence using the basic functions of the DSLR camera, including zoom, focus and holding the camera. Students will develop their understanding of the exposure triangle and learn how to manipulate shutter speed, aperture and ISO settings in order to capture the correct exposure. To develop a strong practical understanding of how to plan, develop and execute photography shoots based upon given briefs or themes. To develop confidence using photo editing software in order to manipulate and make creative outcomes from their original photographs. Students will also develop their ability to analyse photography and express their ideas and opinions about their work. Enrichment opportunities are aplenty in Art. Students have the opportunity to go on numerous trips around the UK to museums and galleries. We give students the opportunity to exhibit their work at the end of year Summer Exhibition. Students also have the opportunity to enter competitions and have their work features on our Twitter page.
